Phytopathologia Mediterranea

The mission of Phytopathologia Mediterranea is to disseminate new information and research on plant diseases and their sustainable management. The journal covers all aspects of plant pathology, including etiology, epidemiology, disease prevention, biochemical and physiological aspects, and application of molecular technologies. Phytopathologia Mediterranea is also a regional journal, as the only research journal dedicated to the Mediterranean area. The main foci of the journal are plant diseases and food safety.

The journal has a long history, having been founded in 1960 by Professors Ciccarone and Goidànich as an international journal devoted to plant pathology of Mediterranean crops.

Publishing in Phytopathologia Mediterranea

Publishing in Phytopathologia Mediterranea is open to all Members of the MPU, either as members of MPU associated national societies or associations, or as full MPU Members. For non-members, MPU membership can be acquired during paper submission at the journal website. Phytopathologia Mediterranea is published three times each year, and all contributions are subjected to rigorous peer review.
